Meet the dietitian
Leila RD, MSc
Registered Dietitian · HCPC & BDA registered
Leila worked as a chef before training as a Personal Trainer, and that hands-on grounding in food and fitness sparked a deeper interest in the science behind them, leading her to study Nutrition and Dietetics and qualify as a Registered Dietitian in 2018.
Since then she has built a broad career across clinical, community, and private healthcare settings in both the UK and Bermuda, giving her real-world clinical depth alongside a practical, down-to-earth understanding of what actually helps women day to day. In 2025 she went on to complete an MSc in Global Health, deepening her understanding of how healthcare gaps, including in women’s health, play out differently across populations and systems.
Clinical focus
Women’s hormonal health
Women’s hormonal health is her clinical focus, and the expertise she brings to Holistic Women Hub. Leila has worked with women through perimenopause and menopause, and with PCOS and endometriosis, giving her first-hand insight into how differently hormonal symptoms can show up, and how often women are left to piece together the evidence themselves. She has also worked in weight management, including supporting people through GLP-1 treatment, cardiac health, and diabetes prevention, experience that feeds directly into how this site covers the cardiovascular and blood sugar changes linked to declining oestrogen during perimenopause, areas that get far less attention than they should.
Why “holistic”
Holistic (adjective)
considering the whole person, not just one symptom or one nutrient in isolation
Food is only ever part of the picture. Sleep, movement, stress, and daily habits all shape how hormonal symptoms show up, and how well they respond to any change in diet.
So alongside nutrition and supplement guidance, this site looks at the wider lifestyle factors that genuinely impact how we feel, rather than treating any single food or supplement as a fix on its own.
Clear information. No judgement. One stage at a time.
Her aim is simple: to give women the kind of straightforward, evidence-based answers she wishes were easier to find for perimenopause.
